The objective of this work was to evaluate the economic feasibility of cabbage in monoculture
and consortia of double and triple arrangements with chive and radish crops. The experimental
design was a randomized block design with seven treatments in four replicates. The treatments
were: monocultures of cabbage, chives and radish; double consortium of cabbage and
chives; cabbage and radish; chives and radish; triple consortium of cabbage, chives and radish.
Economic indices of the consortium arrangements were evaluated. All the arrangements
studied resulted in an index of profitability superior to 45%. In all cases, the products obtained
presented a standard of quality superior to the minimum demanded by the market. Only two
weeds control were carried out during the 90 days of the cabbage cycle in all treatments. The
consortium of cabbage with radish and chives was profitable, allowing the crop to be scaled
and the area more efficiently used.
