CATI educational practices for the diffusion of agroecological knowledge

CATI is a rural extension agency with capillarity among the producers of small towns in the State
of São Paulo, especially in the municipality of Tupã, where one of the regional offices is located.
From the interest of internal employees, educational practices that build agroecological
knowledge have been carried out. The present paper analyzes what these practices were and
what themes they approached. Also analyzed is the perspective of Cati on the results obtained
so far in relation to the course of Introduction to agroecology carried out in 2016 by the institution.
The methods used for the research include bibliographical review and semi-structured
interviews and result in the potential of actions carried out by public agencies of rural extension
in the promotion of agroecological production practices that can also add other dimensions
than the technical aspect.
