Abstract

Family agriculture based on the agroecological paradigm is responsible for a significant rate of
world agricultural production and continues to grow worldwide. This article presents a Methodology
for the development of a system of performance indicators for agro-ecological family
agriculture, covering aspects of production, productivity and sustainability. The modeling of this
system combines the methods of Participatory Ergonomics and Work Ergonomics Analysis.
The objective of the mentioned system is to help small farmers monitor and evaluate their performance
continuously and make decisions to improve production. It also aims to support the
decision-making of the managers of the development institutions on the need for investments
and the formulation of public policies for the improvement of agro-ecological family agriculture.
