Collective production of seedlings for agroecological transition in the city of Garrafão do Norte, Pará

The work started by sensitizing farmers through the use of participatory methodologies (meetings,
exchanges and workshops) by the NEA / UFRA-CCP, which provided a reflection on the
ways of producing in the Amazon context, from which they generated Demands on the part of
the farmers in the search for alternatives for a diversified and sustainable production. Thus,
this report aims to describe and reflect on the agroecological transition from the collective
work developed with the construction of seedlings nurseries in the city of Garrafão do Norte,
Pará. The experience made possible the collective work among farmers, As well as the diversification
of its production systems (planta, SAFs, capoeira and among others). In addition, it
promoted the sharing of knowledge among the actors involved (students, teachers, technicians
and farmers), contributing to the generation and construction of knowledge in agroecology.
