Abstract

Studies on agroecological gardening in nursery schools are of great importance especially
for students who have several nutritional deficiencies due to the absence of a balanced diet.
It is also considered the possibility to extend beyond the walls of the school work initiatives
with education in agroecology within the community of families that will benefit directly or indirectly.
Therefore, the objective of this work was to build agroecological knowledge through
the strengthening of a partnership between the external and internal community of the creche
Profa. Virgínia and IFAM - Campus Manaus Zona Leste. The horta developed themes such as
agroecology, combining theoretical concepts with practical ones contributing in the process of
teaching and learning, and was a strategic tool able to help in the development of the contents
in an interdisciplinary way, grounding the subjects worked and adopting transversal themes.
