In recent years, the aggravation of the degradation of natural resources has intensified, resulting
in an awareness of sustainability. Agroecological-based agriculture stands out in the pursuit
of sustainable agriculture. Among these organic agriculture stands out. Thus, the objective
of the study was to evaluate the sustainability conditions in organic system, with emphasis on
cultivation health and soil quality. The methodology used was Participatory Rural Diagnosis
and sustainability levels ranged from 1 to 10 (1-critical, 5-acceptable, 10-desirable). The result
obtained with the evaluation of the agricultural production unit indicates that the agroecosystem
presented many points considered acceptable, indicating that the property points to sustainability,
to consider the environmental dimension. The property takes the agro-ecological
principles, but through the results it is possible to establish plans that help the producer to
mitigate the points highlighted as critical.
