Abstract

In a context in which universities are still strong propagators of the hegemonic model of development,
the student movement appears in these spaces to look for and to construct alternatives.
At the Federal University of Viçosa, the Casa da Transição Agroecológica (Casa 18) houses
the student groups of agroecology of this institution; Where knowledge is built beyond the classroom.
The classes opened to the community, have established themselves as an opportunity
to share the work developed, and to propose spaces for critical reflection on our political-social
context. These educational spaces contributed to the formation of both the students who mediated
them and the other participants. Reflecting mainly on the interpersonal development of
individuals, and on the propagation of agroecology.
