Abstract

The evaluation of the perception of young people on the value of natural resources, is important
for the biodiversity preservation. The objective was to study the perception of youth on
biodiversity and soil biodiversity. For this, a semi-structured questionnaire were applied with
25 high school students in the city of Santa Rosa de Lima – SC, considered the State Capital
of Agroecology. It can be concluded young people do not understand biodiversity and soil biodiversity,
and have difficulty to associate the object with daily activities.
