Report of experience-Women, Agroecology, Feminist and Solidarity Economy. A triple guarantee for food sovereignty

The paper shares some reflections on the structural difficulties and protagonism developed by
indigenous women farmers, quilombolas in two agroecological experiences, feminist and solidarity
economy, in the Brazilian northeast, quilombola women, and in the Ecuadorian Amazon
Kichwa women of Tena. In Brazil and Ecuador, the advance of transgenic and agroindustrial
production, of the monoculture and the productivismcapitalist and patriarchal, which threatens
the economic experiences of solidarity, the process of recovery of native seeds, commercialization,
agroecological production, sovereign consumption and the recognition of the integral
rights of quilombola and indigenous women farmers as subject to policies. In contrast, it reveals
the triple contribution of women farmers to food sovereignty and the historical defense of
the natural and cultural heritage of their families and communities.
