Abstract

This work expose the project experience’s 1779, developed in agreement between IDEAUNAL
Palmira and CVC, with family farmers in six watersheds of Valle del Cauca. This initiative promoted
agroecological principles to reach sustainable agricultural systems, to decrease the regional
ecological structure impact. With that aim and based on intercultural dialogue between
participants, were designed and implemented interventions, focusing three components: Agricultural,
water and environment, benefiting 210 family farmers. The farmers showed proactive
and propositional attitude due the recognition of their starring role in the transformation of the
local context and collective wellness construction. In consequence, a spectrum of alternatives
for agroecological transition with practical and methodological approach were arise, that could
be replicable in other regions of the country.
