Cow farming in the construction of agroecological knowledge: a focus on peasant youth in Zona da Mata and Agreste Paraibano

The contextualized training of young people living in the countryside is very important for the
maintenance of these in the field, promoting rural family succession. Therefore, we need projects
that promote this type of training through training, technical workshops and clinics that
align academic knowledge to traditional farmers and socialize appropriate technologies for the
main productive activities developed by peasant families of Paraíba, between these activities,
there is the creation of free-range chickens. So hick poultry workshop was developed to sixty
young people living on farms, camps and settlements of agrarian reform mesoregions the
Forest zone, Borborema and Agreste Paraibano. Through participation in the workshop, the
young people had the opportunity to deepen on care and proper handling, which should be
provided the birds, and learn to sew alternative equipment for use in family poultry production.
