Abstract

Sepé Tiaraju is an agrarian reform settlement that was created with the challenge of pursuing
its development under the guidelines of agroecology. In recent years the agroforestry systems
number has grown significantly in the settlement. The production of hight biodiversity systems
is generally characterized by a wide variety of products, but not always in sufficient quantities
to access all markets types. This work sought to identify and characterize the existing sale
channels in the settlement, with a view to their suitability for commercialization of the production
of biodiverse forest systems. To carry out data collection was used semi-structured interviews
applied to a sample of the universe of farmers defined by the snowball technique. The
results of a preliminary analysis are presented here focusing on the identified sales channels
and their main characteristics.
