Abstract

The use of composting and biofertilizers has been shown as a great alternative for soil improvement
and consequently of the crops in the ecologically based family farming. The practical
class is an important methodological resource that facilitates the teaching-learning process.
Through experimentation, allied to theory, students begin to problematize situations, arousing
curiosity and interest, generating solutions and building knowledge. Most IFPI agricultural students
Campus Campo Maior come from rural areas, daughters and children of settled family
farmers. In this way the objective of this experience report is to show the importance of the use
of alternative products in agroecological production practices in technical courses and how
these practices contribute to the formation of agroecological knowledge.
