The aim in this work was to evaluate the growth and moisture content of coriander plants treated
with water submitted to therapeutic touch, since it is a non aggressive technique to the environment..
The experiment occurred in Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia - UFRB, in
Cruz das Almas, BA, and contained a therapeutic touch-treated water by the laying on of hands
(Krieger-Kuntz method) and the control (filtered water), with 12 replicates. It was evaluated:
shoot height, number of leaves, length and width of the largest leaf, collection diameter, root
diameter and length, fresh and dry mass (aerial part, root and total), aerial part / root ratio and
content humidity (shoot, root and total). The treated water provided plants with higher moisture
content in the aerial part and in the total and also altering the distribution of photoassimilates.
It was concluded that the water treated by the therapeutic touch altered the allocation of photoassimilates
and the hydration of the tissues of coriander plants.
