Abstract

The present report refers to the activities carried out in Ilha do Capim, in the municipality of
Abaetetuba-PA. The activities were divided in four moments: diagnosis, reconstitution of the
diagnosis and choice of demands, formation and implantation of the UPEAs, being: UPEA IManagement
of Açaizal Nativo, in the Marituba community; UPEA II- Organic Horticulture, in
the area of the hole and UPEA III- Creation of Fish in Tank-Net, in the Caratateua community.
In the development of the activities, participatory methodologies were used, semi-structured
questionnaire, transversal walk and direct observation. The results were satisfactory, reaching
the proposed goals, where the dialogue among the knowledge culminated in the implementation
of the UPEAs. Thus, the students began the practice of technological extension from
a systemic and agroecological perspective, seeking to increase the food sovereignty of the
residents, reduce dependence on external inputs and strengthen existing production systems.
