The following article aims at exposing the experience in the creation of a Social Control Organization
group and in the technical monitoring of these farmers. In the São Sebastião-DF
region, there was an incentive for producers who grow cultivated cassava, corn and beans to
produce vegetables and fruits in an agro-ecological way to guarantee the food security and to
sell the surplus. The increase of the production of some of these farmers led the formation of a
group to sell the vegetables and organic fruits in fairs and governmental programs. We trained
these producers on organic production and on the registration of the group in the Ministry of
Agriculture, Livestock and Supply. Nowadays, we can observe the increase of the biodiversity
in the farms, the adoption of agro ecological practices, the preservation of the environment and
the increase of families income, all of which, resulting in the improvement of the quality of life,
making possible the fixation of the producer and her or his family in the countryside.
