Abstract

The Paranaense Program for Certification of Organic Products (PPCPO) in the region of the
coast of Paraná takes place through the Nucleus UNESPAR, which is currently in Phase III,
offering to producers and family producers technical assistance in rural areas, with the purpose
of fomenting and strengthening the Family-based organic agriculture through certification of
plant production and agro-industries (processing) for free in the 7 municipalities of the coastal
region. This work aimed to report how the activities of this nucleus were developed from the
beginning of Phase III, which happened between July and March of 2017. During this period
visits were made to 34 properties resulting in case studies for each one, being these belonging
to the Antonina, Guaraqueçaba, Matinhos, Morretes and Paranaguá. The activity that stands
out most in local family agriculture is the production of vegetables and olerícolas. So far in this
phase, 17 audits were carried out, one of which is a processing and 16 of primary plant production,
in the municipalities of Antonina, Guaraqueçaba, Matinhos, Morretes and Paranaguá.
