The objective of this work was to systematize the experience that has been conducted since
April 2014 in a family-based rural property, starting from the implementation of a Participatory
Experimentation and Collective Learning Unit for the rearing of bees in the district of Córrego
of the Danube, Sooretama, ES. The methodology was based on the use of Participative Rural
Diagnostic techniques and the promotion of dialogue of knowledge. In view of the interest and
passion for bees, the integration of the family experience into the project was established,
which has enabled the enrichment of creation, as well as increased motivation and knowledge
on agroecological management. From five initial swarms, the property now has apiary and
meliponarium installed, with 21 swarms of native bees and 5 boxes of Africanized bees.
