Abstract

To reach the status of agro ecological producers, the residents of the New Amazon Settlement
Project, located in the State of Roraima, have experienced several difficulties. Among them
were the access to land and the absence of public policies to promote the transformation in its
production model. The objective of this work was to analyze the conduction of the Sebrae-RR
in the transformation in the conventional hortifrutigranjeira mode of production for the agro
ecological of familiar farmers of said rural settlement. For this, we use the evaluation report
of an independent institution and visits to the farmers in their places of work and commercialization
of their products. Among the farmers who remain producing agro ecologically, it was
verified the importance of the aid of a public-private institution that was configured in the main
tool of transition to the producers, providing technical assistance, training and means of access
to the market.
