Abstract

Several problems aggravate in agriculture with the use of chemical fertilizers and agrochemicals,
mainly with the contamination of the environment and the rural producer. The biofertilizer
is used in organic and agroecological properties in the vegetal production promoting a movement
of ecological agriculture. The objective was to evaluate the development of lettuce plants
(Lactuca sativa L.) under different concentrations of biofertilizer. The experiment was conducted
in a randomized block with 5 treatments and 4 replicates, with 0% (control), 5%, 10%, 15%
and 20% of biofertilizers concentrations. The variables were: fresh mass (g), commercial circumference
(cm), stem diameter (mm), chlorophyll content (SPAD) and number of leaves. The
results were significant for all concentrations compare to control. In the variables fresh mass,
commercial circumference, stem diameter and number of leaves, hears a linear increase in its
values and quadratic effect in the chlorophyll content.
