Actions of the Nucleus Agroecological Puxirum of Embrapa: contributions to the processes of construction of agroecological knowledge in Eastern Amazonia

Abstract

In response to the Call number 38/2014 MDA/CNPq was created the Nucleus Agroecological
Puxirum, in Embrapa Amazônia Oriental, aimed to promote awareness-raising actions, training
and knowledge-building in agroecology in both internal and external environments to the institution.
From its creation in March 2015, has been conducting, in partnership with other nucleus
of studies in Agroecology (NEAs), from higher education institutions, and with other institutions,
courses, among others, of: awareness in Agroecology, systematization of experiences;
evaluation of sustainability in ecological transition processes; Agroecology and citizenship; and
construction of agroecological caravans, involving a wide range of people trained. Also promoting
conversation circles on relevant themes such as food sovereignty and impact caused by
pesticides, and has responded to various demands on the participation in activities related to
the construction of ecological knowledg.
