Abstract

The planting of single-head broccoli (Brassica oleraceae L. var. Italic) has been expanding in
recent years. The demand for healthier food has generated an increase in the use of organic
compounds enriched with microorganisms, in which the use of biofertilizers has been gaining
space. The objective of this work was to evaluate the development of single head broccoli
under different doses of the biofertilizer. The experimental design was a randomized complete
block design, with four replications and four biofertilizer doses (0.0%, 2.5%, 5.0% and 10.0%).
Through regression analysis, there was significant effect for fresh head mass and head diameter
when compared to the control, while stem diameter did not differ statistically. In the system
adopted, the best dosage of biofertilizer for the cultivar was in the concentration of 2.94%,
which resulted in a higher procution increase.
