Abstract

In order to evaluate the “papa criolla” production in the urban context, an explorative and descriptive
study was developed, in which commercial parameters were evaluated. Double bottom
containers HDPE and agroecological production techniques were used. The data obtained
were applied descriptive statistics and dispersion analysis was performed to summarize the
information. Variation coefficients interquartile range and analyzed to establish the normal distribution
of data. The results showed that the average production of S. phureja container was
528 g/plant that when compared with average production in Colombia, become a viable alternative,
which directly contributes to strengthening sufficiency, sovereignty and food security in
addition it constitutes a tool for the construction processes of urban space with sociocultural,
environmental and landscape benefits.
