Knowledge construction in agroecological agroforestry systems: evaluation and learning from the perspective of farmers from PDS Sepé Tiaraju located in Serrana city/SP

Abstract

This present work search to find data that shows how an action research and persistent rural
extension achieves by a project that supports the family farming from agrarian reform, to promote
a agroecological and/or organic transition in a set of actions of technical assistance and
rural extension. The Safs Project (affectionately nicknamed by the beneficiaries) comes from
a public politics (Microbacias II – PDRS/SMA) and benefited 35 farmers from the PDS Sepé
Tiaraju, located at Serrana city/SP. These farmers began to plant a Biodiversity Agroforestry
Sistems (SAF) ranging from one-half to one hectare. This expanded Abstract brings data of 10
farmers from those 35. These 10 are neighbors living at the same core, Chico Mendes core.
This core is characterized from being physically separated from the rest of the settlement; in
which an auto-route cuts the settlement separating this core.
