CAJa – The resumption of agroecology by the rescue of the bees

In 2016 CAJa resumed its activities aimed at strengthening agroecological knowledge and
practices within the university, with the objective of making agroecology accessible and disseminated
to the academic community and thus to develop it in a more concrete way. In 2017 the
group conquered a project by PROEX. Since then the actions of the group have been focused
mainly to consolidate agroecology in the regional community; To value family agriculture through
socio-cultural actions, through actions with small producers and in rural settlements; To
plan and implement an experimental organic agroforestry system associated with a meliponary
in the FCAVJ, in order to preserve, reproduce and manage native species; Develop research
and disseminate results to broaden the population’s access to the respective themes.
