Agroecological activities in environmental education

The aim of this work was to teach and carry out activities addressing the environmental theme
with children from kindergarten through the 3rd year of Elementary School of the Antônio
Pereira da Silva Municipal School located in the rural community of Sofocó in Muriaé-MG. Searching
through conversations, playful games and agroecological activities, to alert our future
generations of how important it is to know how to live harmoniously with nature. We observe a
great interest on the part of children in learning more about nature and what their role should
be in the face of the current wave of destruction caused by man. The students also understood
that environmental education in the school environment is of utmost importance for the
construction of a conscious citizen. However, children began to reproduce what was learned
in practical and theoretical classes at home and with their families, thus spreading the idea of
a more sustainable world.
