Abstract

The brassicas have been gaining prominence in the scenario of the organic olericultura, however,
there are few researches in this area, mainly with organic fertilizers. These have many
qualities, besides improving the fertility and soil chemistry, they stimulate the development
of beneficial microorganisms. The objective of this research was to study the effect of goat
manure doses on the performance of cabbage plants in an organic system. The experiment
was conducted at the State University of Bahia-UNEB, Campus III in a Flossic Neosol. The
experimental design was a randomized block design with four treatments and four replications.
The doses were: D1- 0 t ha-1, D2- 30 t ha-1, D3- 60 t ha-1 and D4- 90 t ha-1. The dose of 60 t ha-1
provided the best results for all analyzed variables, obtaining a statistical difference of 60 t ha-
1, when compared to the dose of 0 t ha-1, in the variable length Of the leaf, the dose being the
best result in this study for the cultivation of cauliflower.
