Abstract

The present study was carried out in an agroecosystem based on agroecological basis (0,31
ha), installed in a restricted sense, divided in modules that intercalate agricultural production
bands (300 m2, 15m x 20m) , With preservation bands (140 m2, 7m x 20m). In these bands
the native arboreal-shrub flora was preserved. The productive strips were managed, with the
removal of the herbaceous stratum and part of the arboreal-shrub vegetation, except the larger
woody ones. The diameters of all woody individuals with diameter ≥ 2 cm to 5 cm of soil were
measured, identified and recorded. In the Agroecosystem, 734 individuals belonging to 57 species
and 27 botanical families were sampled. The development of polycultures Agroecosystems
designs that consider the coexistence of native species with agricultural species can be an
effective model to mitigate the environmental impacts of family farming in Cerrado ecosystems.
