Abstract

The article exposes the extensionist experience in working with family organic agriculture since
2012.The family producers involved in the experience reported in this text had the possibility
of retrieving knowledge and methods that were from their parents and grandparents, such as
storing their seeds and using inputs from their own property. Thus, the role of the technician has
become important in guiding the importance of valuing local knowledge and facilitating the exchange
of successful experiences of other communities, properties or localities, and how local
realities can be adapted. As a result of this work, we had the social value of the producer from
the moment the consumer starts to be interested in the way fruits, vegetables, eggs, grains,
etc. were produced.
