Abstract

Analyzing production systems and more integrated, diversified and resilient agroecosystems
models, implies more complexity and reinforces the need for monitoring. The objective was
to evaluate soil quality sustainability indicators in shaded agroecosystems through the use of
easily detected physical, chemical and biological indicators. To measure the sustainability of
shaded agroecosystems, sustainability indicators were used to assess soil quality. This work
allowed to verify that the indicators evaluated in the two agroecosystems concludes that the
current mode of production allows the soil to be more resilient.
