The objective of this work was to evaluate the antagonistic effect of Trichoderma spp. isolates
on the mycelial growth of the fungus Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. The study was carried
out in the Laboratory of Microbiology and Phytopathology of the State University of Mato Grosso,
in a completely randomized design with 10 treatments and 15 replicates. The isolates of
Trichoderma spp. Were evaluated for the antagonistic potential against C. gloeosporioides, by
means of the pairing of cultures and the assignment of grades through the application the Bell
scale. The variables analyzed were mean mycelial growth (CMM), mycelial growth rate index
(IVCM), growth inhibition percentage (ICP) and mean scores attributed to the paired cultivation
of Trichoderma spp. against C. gloeosporioides. Data were submitted to analysis of variance
and the means comparison test. All isolates of Trichoderma spp. Inhibited the mycelial growth
of C. gloeosporioides.
