Abstract

The infiltration of the water in the soil represents great importance to understand the phenomenon
that are linked to the movement of water and the quantification of the parcel of rain or
irrigation blade that does not infiltrate the soil, causing the surface runoff. The objective of this
work was to evaluate the accumulated infiltration and speed with which the water infiltrates the
soil, through different systems of soil managemen and vegetation. Through the ring infiltrator
method, accumulated infiltration and velocity infiltration tests were performed in different management
systems, at IFRN-Campus Ipanguaçu, in fluvial neosols. Although the treatments
presented significant differences, it is verified that in the production system in ecologic base
improvements of the physical characteristics of the soil occurred, considering that they reduced
the anthropic actions through the production in a more sustainable way. Regardless of the
method of analysis,it is verified that the accumulated infiltration was superior.
