The management of açaizais by agroextractivists: a case study in Igarapé Marintuba, Abaetetuba - Pará

Abstract

The study analyzes the production process of news in the management of açaizais of the
Marintuba, llha do grass, in Abaetetuba, Pará. The type of research was the case study, operationalized
through interviews, structured questionnaire and walk across. The result shows
that the agroextrativistas feature innovative capability that enables the management of natural
resources available and express their creativity, contrasting the concept of delay that is assigned
to these traditional populations. Further revealed the existence of a niche of innovation
(protected area) that can be managed in order to socialize and disseminate the experiences of
management.
