The use of microorganisms for biological control purposes has been widely studied. In this
context, use of species of Baccillus spp. as antagonists of phytopathogens, has been used as
integrated management of diseases.
The aim with this work, evaluate in vitro antagonistic effect of Bacillus subtillis and Bacillus
amyloliquefaciens on Fusarium oxysporium f. sp. cubense. He moved a 9 mm from the phytopathogenic
fungus to the center of the Petri dish divided into four quadrants, where each of
the quadrants received a drop of commercial product based on Bacillus spp. Measuring the
mycelial growth of fusarium has been helddaily untiI the seventh day. It was observed that
the Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens inhibit the growth of Fusarium, showing
a percentage of inhibition of 38,11% and 40,33%, respectively, demonstrating be effective for
biological control.
