Abstract

The objective of this work is to present reflections about the results and experiences generated
in the conduction of an experimental module of intensive organic cultivation of vegetables,
in addition, it seeks to reflect to what extent the principles used in the area can provide clues
for the improvement of the management of agroecosystems Organic farming. The experience
described here is part of the Integrated Agroecological Production System (SIPA), better known
as “Fazendinha Agroecológica Km 47”, located in Seropédica-RJ, region of the state of Rio
de Janeiro. Created in order to be an area of permanent experimentation and socialization of
knowledge in organic agriculture, the experimental module of intensive organic cultivation of
vegetables has tested and generated over six years technologies and knowledge that can be
used as inspiration in the design of agroecosystems New challenges to be overcome.
