Abstract

Lettuce is a hardwood vegetable of in natura consumption, and diseases are a limitation for
the production of lettuce. The objectives of this work were to evaluate and identify the main
diseases that attacked the lettuce crop, as well as to verify the pathogenicity of Fusarium sp.
In lettuce from an isolate taken from field cultivation, and studied in three different lettuce cultivars.
These studies were carried out in field lettuce cultivation in the model units of the CVT
Guayi Agroecology project. The results obtained in these experiments indicated that the sanity
of the lettuce crop in the studied regions is relatively good, independent of the conventional and
organic SAT culture system, in three cultivars studied. However, specifically in the cultivation in
SAT system in an urban region in the JK garden in Sete Lagoas-MG, fusariosis has drastically
limited the production of this crop, which was observed in this work.
