Abstract

The objective of this paper is to describe the experience of members of the Capim Limão Project
in the Sítio Semente - DF, where a training course in agroforestry systems management
was held. The course conducted by the biologist Juã Pereira, an apprentice to Ernst Gotsch,
pioneer in the implementation of the concept of Syntropic Agriculture. During one week, the
group experienced all the processes present in the food production of an agroforest, from the
preparation of the soil to the processing of the food. In this experience, several concepts of
agroecology that permeate the production of healthy foods were seen in a practical and theoretical
way. Hence, there was a huge contribution to the formation of the participants as an
agroecology group, both from the perspective of the techniques learned linked to the concepts,
and as a collective strengthened by the coexistence and division of tasks.
