Agroforestry Systems and Their Contribution to Agroecology Transition Process in Family Production System

Abstract

This work depicts the agroecological transition experience of the conventional system with
pesticide use to the agro-ecological system, through agroforestry system of a family production
unit located in the Ring community Garrafão municipality North / Para. We sought to
analyze some aspects regarding the adoption of FAS, the new technologies used in the new
system, the main achievements and limitations in the farmer design, as well as the degree of
empowerment and family involvement with the system. For this we designed a semi-structured
questionnaire that served as guidance for that would meet the proposed objectives. The
implanted agroecological system is in consolidation phase as well as the transition process
reported here. Among the future prospects of the farmer is to see the most developed system
and produce fruit pulp for marketing, in addition to the achievement of organic certification to
add value to their products.
