Abstract

The present work had the objective of describing the agronomic characteristics of the plant of
bravo-do-ceará in different phases cultivated in Teresina-PI. The work was conducted in the
Experimental Field of the Technical College of Teresina-CTT, from May 2016 to January 2017
in Teresina-PI. The evaluated parameters were: beginning of flowering, beginning of formation
and maturation of pod and harvesting period, counting days after planting and, length of pod,
number of seeds per pod, weight of 100 seeds and yields. The beginning of flowering occurred
at 100 days after planting; The beginning of pod formation at 120 days after planting; The beginning
of pod maturation was at 164 days and the harvest began at 180 days extending up to
230 days after planting; The mean pod length was 15.4 cm; Presenting an average of 9 seeds
per pod and average weight of 100 seeds 76 g.
