Agroforestry systems (SAF’s) can be considered as an option to reconcile agricultural production
and conservation of natural resources. In this way, it is important to understand that
different arrangements in the consortia can provide different results of agricultural production
and conservation of biodiversity. Thus, we tried to characterize three agroforestry typical of
cupuaçuzeiro cultivation in Zona da Mata Rondoniense regarding the diversity and level of
management adopted. The selected systems were characterized as the diversity of the tree
component and palm trees. Floristic diversity was higher for SAF’s A and B and lower for SAF
C. Regarding the level of management used SAF A was classified as Rustic, SAF B as Traditional
Policultivo and SAF C as Commercial Policultivo. It can be concluded that the agroforestry
systems evaluated presented different degrees of management and the systems with less
intervention presented a greater diversity of species.
