Phosphorus and potassium availability in soils incubated with straw of conilon coffee
Keywords:

Coffee farming is one of the main agricultural activities that generate income in Espírito Santo.
Among the residues generated by the activity, coffee straw is one of the most worrying. Studies
have pointed out the biochar obtained from coffee straw as a soil conditioner. In this way
the objective of the work was to evaluate the availability of P and K in soils of different textures
after the incubation with biochar obtained from coffee conilon straw. The experimental design
was completely randomized with 3 replicates. Two soils with different texture classes (medium
and clayey) were used, incubated for 35 days at different doses of biochar (equivalent to 0, 5,
10, 15 and 20 t / ha). The conilon coffee straw biochar increased the levels of P and, mainly,
K available in the soils. In both soils the levels of P and K increased linearly in response to the
application of the biochar.
