Between social movements of urban and agroecological urban policies in Sao Paulo city

Abstract

The article proposes an analysis of the interrelations between the social movements and the
agro-ecological urban agriculture policies in São Paulo. Three types of movements are analyzed
(i) the activities of urban farmers, (ii) the network articulated by Sao Paulo Urban Movement
on Agro-ecology, (iii) the action of groups on political pressure and advocacy.
