Abstract

Free markets represent important marketing channels, valuing local production and generating
income for the farmer. In this way, this work aims to present and analyze the economic data of
farmers participating in the Fair of Family Agriculture and Solidarity Economy of the municipality
of Capitão Poço / PA. The work was developed through a semi-structured interview with open
and closed questions that allowed the comparison of the data collected during the eight-month
follow-up period with six older and regular farmers from the fair. Regarding the rents raised during
the eight months of follow-up, it can be noted that total rents range from R $ 647.00 to R $
4,415.00 and average rents per participation are between R $ 40.47 To R $ 315.3. These values
can be justified due to the quantity and value of the products marketed by each marketer and
also the specificity of the products. The incomes obtained prove the importance of fairs in the
generation of income of families and the development of family agriculture in the region.
