Abstract

This work deals with the characterization of the family establishment of Mr. Lobato on the banks
of the Tamimboca River in the municipality of Igarapé Mirí-PA. The methodology consisted of a
transversal walk, observation and interaction between farmers and those involved. There were
no interventions, however, but it occurred in a participatory way by engaging in daily activities,
trying to put themselves in the place of the observed agents in order to understand the complex
realities of the agrossocial characteristics of their environment that result from a continuous
historical process of interactions Between humans and the local biome, as well as the geographical
and ecological opportunities and constraints they present to them.
