This article aims to report on the work experience of the Rede de Intercâmbio de Tecnologias
Alternativas (REDE) with a group of young children of family farmers in the territory of Caraça
(MG), from its principles, methodologies and constitution of the group “Pé n4 T3rr@”. The
training process has been based on popular education and has as central axes the strengthening
of youth identities and their rights, (ac)knowledge and appreciation of territories and
identification and experimentation in agroecological practices in the context of family farming.
In almost two years of action, we can highlight the formation of the “Pé n4 T3rr@” youth group,
the increasing awareness of young people who begin to include agroecology in their life projects,
mainly in terms of income generation and school continuity, and the improvement and
strengthening of the work with youth as an important strategy for the agroecological transition
with their families.
