Abstract

The objective of this work was to investigate the chemical attributes of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) and cacao (Theobromo cacau L.) crops in the Novo Horizonte community in the municipality of Rurópolis, Pará. The chemical properties of the soil were determined in laboratory premises of the Federal Rural University of Amazonia - Capanema Campus from six samples composed of an area of ten (6) hectares. The results showed similarity between cassava and cacao crops, which shows that both crops are inadequately managed and grow and grow with a deficit of chemical attributes.
