Abstract

The Hortizon research group carried out technical visits to vegetable producers in the urban
area of Paragominas-PA, with the purpose of knowing their production practices, and limitations
faced. The technical visit sought to offer students of agronomy ways of applying the
knowledge acquired in the institution, through explanation about the correct management of
vegetables. The objective was to make this exchange of experiences between the producer,
student and teacher, thus helping the urban producer to gradually achieve the agroecological
transition and thereby help this producer to improve their production practices. After the end of
these visits the Hortizon research group can learn about the needs and problems faced by the
producers and with that to elaborate projects to be able to benefit these producers, in addition
to starting a partnership, showing that there is the research group that is available Them to
work together to improve their planting conditions.
