Abstract

The objective of this research was to evaluate the floristic composition and the phytosociological
parameters of the horizontal structure of agroforestry backyards located in the urban
area of Santarém, Mojuí dos Campos and Belterra - PA. For that, 17 quintals were selected.
The phytosociological parameters of the horizontal structure and diversity indexes and the
Pearson Correlation Coefficient (r) were calculated. The species of greatest abundance was
Musa sp. (Banana) with 147 individuals. In the structural analysis it was verified that the species
Artocarpus heterophyllus (Jaca) obtained higher IVC (Coverage Value Index) and IVI
(Import Value Index). The Shannon-Weaver index (H’) was 3.56. The Pielou equability index
(J’) was 0.86 indicating that all species of this yard are equally abundant. Pearson’s Coefficient
of Correlation showed that the number of species in the backyards and their abundance
are independent of extension.
