Agroecology in terms of socio-environmental responsibility is an effective tool in the transformation of social, environmental and economic realities. Taking into account the balanced production and respecting the biophysical, climatic and social characteristics of the rural environment. The project of extension of Ecofeira at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) proposed to the farmers of the Agroana-Girau settlement in the municipality of Poconé-MT, knowing their institutional technical needs and destitution, the implementation of an organic production system considering the agroecological aspects to provide significant improvements in the quality of life of the more than 30 families currently served. In order to meet the demands for reduction of the environmental impacts generated by agriculture, socioeconomic problems, and increased food security of the settlers, organic production in an agroecological model has been shown to be a viable and profitable alternative for farmers. Although there are many barriers to the implementation of a model of organic agro-ecological production, this is an alternative that should be discussed by society as a whole, since there are positive and undeniable contributions in social, environmental and economic terms, and when it comes to socio-environmental issues, we must act locally to change a global reality.
