Analysis of Consumers 'Profile of Organic Products in Belém/PA

The objective of this work is to identify the main characteristics of consumers of organic products. In specific terms: to analyze the perception of the product on the product, to identify if there is a relation between the socioeconomic characteristics and the consumption, to characterize if there is a relation between participating in social or environmental activities and the consumption and to determine if this group is susceptible of segmentation. The research was carried out in the city of Belém - PA, using questionnaires with multiple choice questions to obtain the data, which had the objective of tracing the profile of the consumers of organic products residing in the capital of Pará. It is notorious that a large part of the consumers are women, which correspond to 312 people of the sample and the majority belonging to the middle class of the Belenian society. It is important to note that 100% of the sample consumes or has already consumed some organic product. In order to analyze the segmentation of the selected group, it is important that the division of these segments is carried out and to trace the profile of consumers of organic products in Belém-PA, it can be divided into three segments. With this work it can be concluded that although organic products have a market value, still, considered high a large part of the population consumes these products, whether daily, weekly, monthly or sporadically.
